Google Page Rank Update

It's Monday morning, the sun is shining and Google has updated its toolbar PageRank. Does life get better than this? Well yes it does, but no harm in being just a little excited.
After about 9 weeks of patiently waiting around Google has finally updated its PageRank display.
At the beginning of the year we had decided to move over to our .co.uk domain so we could better target Google.co.uk. This of course resulted in our websites display ranking being reset to "No PageRank information available" while a Google update came round.
Unfortunately we had just missed one on 26th February 2008 so we knew it would be a while coming.
Anyway we have re-entered the charts with a PR of 4. This isn't so bad. Even though we were a PR5 before I sort of expected some of our juice to be lost.
At the end of the day PageRank is not the be all and end all and it certainly doesn't carry as much weight as it used to. But it does seem to add a bit of credibility to a website and the lack of green is one fo the first things I spot when doing a website audit. It means nothing on its own but can be a signal that things are wrong.
Over the next few weeks we are aiming to increase our page rank at least back to where it was. This can be a time consuming process so don't expect miracles to happen overnight.
Anyhow its will probably be at least another 3 months until the next toolbar update so we won't know anything until then. Although seoMoz's Trifecta tool can help. It's a bigger and better version of their old PageStregth tool and gives a rough indication of how strong your page, blog or domain maybe.
Anyone else notice any shifts in Page Rank today?
